In the past month I have been phasing out my desktop computer, as it has virtually slitis up and stopped working properly. It was expected, as it has at least eight years old. The drives have spun around several times around the world by now.

Now I have an office that fits in a small bag. As a professional blogger, I have the advantage to be able to work just anywhere, anytime. Today, my office of a notebook PC, mobile internet, mobile phone and a notebook (yes, I still prefer to sketch on paper, although I have no Undo function on my ink pens). And my reading glasses.

Sometimes I stay up and be fascinated by how technology has developed. It’s actually incredibly coolto be so mobile as I am. A typical bag holds everything I need to do my job. With mobile broadband, I can connect to me anywhere, and with a VPN client I connect easily to the servers I need to work toward.

I am currently on paternity leave at half-time with a seven-month-old son, and when I need to work up with some deadlines, I take the help of parents and in-laws (my wife works). So I’ve spent working at a SAKRET in a storage room, on a sofa with a cat roused, in an armchair in front of a fire, in bed plus a sleeping son, rates and at a coffee shop somewhere.

To make this work, there are some things to consider. The mobile broadband should be stable, and that Telenor has been for me. However, I am aware that it is not the best choice, but because I have my regular mobile here I got the price down properly.

Your computer should be easy and smooth. I have two laptops that I switch between. First, an ultraportable laptop in the normal size, and also a mini-computer in the form of an Asus Eee PC 901Go. The latter I choose if I pack light and if I do not have to write long texts – the keyboard is very small.

Another important point is that the battery life must be long in the computers. Asus gives me 6-8 hours working on one charge, and the second – a Lenovo U350, for the moment – is about six hours too. It is not always there is wall charger and it does not work to have a computer that quit after two hours.

The downside of laptops is that the ergonomics are rubbish. The screen sits too low to be useful for the neck. The Home Office, I have the computer connected to a conventional screen, but otherwise you may see to be working shorter workouts and move there between. A real mouse is also a must to avoid the strenuous pad.

I know I am fortunate to have this opportunity, and I exploit it fully. It is far from anyone who can do their job in peace and quiet in front of a fireplace. I lack the speed of our 100 Mbit fiber gives the home, but with today’s developments in mobile broadband, I will soon be able to refuel home testing program much faster.

I think there are many others who also could do their office mobile. Imagine how much it had saved the money and the environment, a large proportion of the labor market did not have to drive to work every day but could work anywhere! Company JAYS conducted a survey to find out how Swedes listen to music today. Statistics show that there is no longer applicable to your stereo – at least not for young people. The computer and the MP3 player is using.

The survey, which JAYS commissioned speaks for itself, in the way we nowlisten to music.  It is not only how we listen, but also where. To listen to music at home is now as common as doing it in other ways – especially when you are on your way by train, bus, etc.

One sees a clear trend in music listening. The computer is increasingly being stereo’s role among the Swedes. Among younger Swedes, 14-35 years, listens as much as 35 percent, mainly music from the PC followed by the MP3 player’s 23 percent and 17 percent stereo. This compared to all age categories where the stereo peaks in one-third of Swedes, followed by a fourth who prefer the computer and 13 percent who choose MP3: n.

Another interesting aspect is that as much as 90 percent of young people would ratherlisten to music through headphones instead of speakers. It’s something you might wish to one’s neighbors applied, when you wake up the Eurodisco 1 o’clock on a Thursday night … That there are so many people prefer to choose headphones also confirms that we are listening to music, mobile, that is, when we are not sitting at home.

Verbatim releases a new external hard drive that is rugged to withstand shock and coming pre-loaded with software to backup and synchronize Outlook and Microsoft Mail.

Verbatim Executive is an external drive of 2. 5 inches, weighing 170 grams.  The hard drive holds 500 GB and is connected to your PC via USB 2. 0.  The chassis is covered with a rubber surface for the device to cope with shocks better.

It is becoming quite common that manufacturers of external hard drives ship with preinstalled software, to make the units more attractive.  Iomega, for example, with McAfee virus protection .  The programs contained in Executive is Verbatim Verbatim Sync, which lets you synchronize data from Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Mail, which makes it easy for you to take a backup of your e-mail and contacts.

According to Panasonic’s own Lumix TZ7 world’s smallest camera with 12x optical zoom. It can safely be. Compared to previous models has been expanded from 10x zoom and wide angle lens has gone from 28 mm to 25 mm. The size of the camera body has also been reduced.TZ7 measuring approximately 10 x 6 x 3.3 cm and weighs 229 grams (with battery).
