Intel is on 7 January 17 New Processors B
Intel plans to introduce in Las Vegas his first notebook with integrated graphics processors (code name Arrandale). These are the first mobile CPUs for the manufacturer to combine the two cores and a graphics controller on a chip. This should ensure a better energy efficiency are achieved. In the 45-nanometer process produced graphics unit will also support Blu-ray playback and, according to Intel provide enough power for mainstream gaming.
Because of its graphics processors Intel has recently come again to the attention of competition watchdogs. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission FTC had filed on Wednesday antitrust case against the chip manufacturer. She complains that the misuse of its dominant position to stifle competition from vendors such as Nvidia.
