How fast is Telia’s new broadband product, they tell in a press release sent out today. Efforts to expand Telia FiberLan now starting in March 2010. Even now, you can register your interest.

Telia’s new broadband service is aimed at landlords and housing associations. Those who already are connected toTelia’s FiberLan will be able to upgrade this network to the new speed 1000 Mbit broadband.

Today, Telia FiberLan of 100 Mbps, and when we lived in the condominium in Vaxjo, we were connected to this service. Then I topped at around 80-10 MB per second for downloads. It worked really well.

The price for Telia’s 1000 Mbit connectivity hurts a little in the wallet. It costs namely 999 per month. The package includes five e-mail addresses, 2 GB of online backup and a security package with antivirus and firewall.

TV service is available, and it is possible to receive multiple simultaneous streams of different digital set-top boxes, recording pens, and more.

As a private person and living in apartment buildings, you can now register your interest in Telia’s website.

A few months ago, my main desktop computer, with lots of accessories, and I was locked in an office. I still have my office, but the technical part has become extremely mobile .

In the past month I have been phasing out my desktop computer, as it has virtually slitis up and stopped working properly. It was expected, as it has at least eight years old. The drives have spun around several times around the world by now.

Now I have an office that fits in a small bag. As a professional blogger, I have the advantage to be able to work just anywhere, anytime. Today, my office of a notebook PC, mobile internet, mobile phone and a notebook (yes, I still prefer to sketch on paper, although I have no Undo function on my ink pens). And my reading glasses.

Sometimes I stay up and be fascinated by how technology has developed. It’s actually incredibly coolto be so mobile as I am. A typical bag holds everything I need to do my job. With mobile broadband, I can connect to me anywhere, and with a VPN client I connect easily to the servers I need to work toward.

I am currently on paternity leave at half-time with a seven-month-old son, and when I need to work up with some deadlines, I take the help of parents and in-laws (my wife works). So I’ve spent working at a SAKRET in a storage room, on a sofa with a cat roused, in an armchair in front of a fire, in bed plus a sleeping son, rates and at a coffee shop somewhere.

To make this work, there are some things to consider. The mobile broadband should be stable, and that Telenor has been for me. However, I am aware that it is not the best choice, but because I have my regular mobile here I got the price down properly.

Your computer should be easy and smooth. I have two laptops that I switch between. First, an ultraportable laptop in the normal size, and also a mini-computer in the form of an Asus Eee PC 901Go. The latter I choose if I pack light and if I do not have to write long texts – the keyboard is very small.

Another important point is that the battery life must be long in the computers. Asus gives me 6-8 hours working on one charge, and the second – a Lenovo U350, for the moment – is about six hours too. It is not always there is wall charger and it does not work to have a computer that quit after two hours.

The downside of laptops is that the ergonomics are rubbish. The screen sits too low to be useful for the neck. The Home Office, I have the computer connected to a conventional screen, but otherwise you may see to be working shorter workouts and move there between. A real mouse is also a must to avoid the strenuous pad.

I know I am fortunate to have this opportunity, and I exploit it fully. It is far from anyone who can do their job in peace and quiet in front of a fireplace. I lack the speed of our 100 Mbit fiber gives the home, but with today’s developments in mobile broadband, I will soon be able to refuel home testing program much faster.

I think there are many others who also could do their office mobile. Imagine how much it had saved the money and the environment, a large proportion of the labor market did not have to drive to work every day but could work anywhere! The offices had been made smaller, it had come from 8-17 passports that so many detest, and this is not really a big step to take.

It needed to make your mobile is a laptop, mobile broadband and discipline.

The memory card Memory Stick , a new generation, where the technical limit is the2 TB instead of the current 32 GB.

With the increased use of memory cards for digital cameras and camcorders in particular, the need for more storage capacity increased. Today is the maximum of Sony’s Memory Stick 32 GB, which is insufficient for very long if you had planned to record a lot of videos.

Now, Sony and SanDisk teamed up to develop the next generation of Memory Stick memory cards. These next cards are called the Extended High Capacity and have the same design as the existing but a maximum storage capacity of the entire 2 TB – that is 2048 GB.

- Sony has long been a highly successful collaboration with SanDisk on the Memory Stick format. What we are presenting is about an expansive future for flash memory-based cards in general and the Memory Stick in particular, “said Frederick Fagerstedt at Sony in Sweden.

When the Memory Stick Extended High Capacity will be on the market are not clear.Sony announces only that work begins as early as this year. It should probably be noted that 2 TB is therefore the technical limit, which means we probably will not see any such great cards to begin with. I would bet on that the first cards rather is around 256 GB.

Verbatim releases a new external hard drive that is rugged to withstand shock and coming pre-loaded with software to backup and synchronize Outlook and Microsoft Mail.

Verbatim Executive is an external drive of 2. 5 inches, weighing 170 grams. The hard drive holds 500 GB and is connected to your PC via USB 2. 0. The chassis is covered with a rubber surface for the device to cope with shocks better.

It is becoming quite common that manufacturers of external hard drives ship with preinstalled software, to make the units more attractive. Iomega, for example, with McAfee virus protection . The programs contained in Executive is Verbatim Verbatim Sync, which lets you synchronize data from Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Mail, which makes it easy for you to take a backup of your e-mail and contacts.

Furthermore, the external hard drive with Nero BACKITUP 4 Essentials , a program to back up other data. This program only works under Windows, and is therefore not compatible with Mac or Linux. Read more about the hard drive on Verbatim’s website .

ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, IRC – there are a lot of different chat networks that usually all require different applications to be able to use them. With Trillian , you can reach all the network instead of a single program.

By far the most widely used chat program today is MSN Messenger. Messenger is a phenomenon that seems to slowly kill off the competing network. IRC, for example.IRC is a chat network made up of different chat channels where each channel has its own regulars and their own jargon. ICQ is a new network, founded by Israeli Mirabilis .During the early 2000s was the plus point of the computer geek connection to their ICQ numbers by heart – now seems to most, however, have abandoned ICQ completely and switched to MSN.

Anyway, these and more networking you can all access through a single program – Trillian. In addition to MSN, ICQ and IRC supports the program also for Swedish users rather unusual networks AIM and Yahoo Messenger . The program offers in addition to chat capabilities also file transfer functionality for all networks.

The program is available for both PC and Mac . There is both a free version and a pay version of the program. The most obvious difference between the free version and paid version, which costs $ 25, is support for video chat. Trillian adds itself as a small icon in the system tray on your computer and you get up automatically when someone writes to you or by clicking the icon. Fair use and is visually similar Trillian on both MSN Messenger and ICQ and is therefore easy to get used to if you want to switch off two programs against one.

There are several ways to the notebook with fresh programs provide:

transfer from the Internet: This works with the netbooks as well as with a standard PC or notebook like MacBook Pro 15 battery. Condition is of course an Internet connection.

CD / DVD release: Install programs on CD / DVD drive from another PC (which must be connected via network to the netbook must). Condition: Release of the drive on the other computer. Disadvantage: If the disc is copy-protected works, which are rare.

CD simulation software: special programs such as virtual CD or Virtual CloneDrive simulate a CD / DVD drive. First, you need to create a PC with a CD / DVD drive image of the CD / DVD and copy via a MacBook Pro 17 battery USB stick, memory card or network again netbook. The CD-/DVD-Abbild can be used as the original. With copy-protected discs, the drive simulation works not always.

USB burner: An external DVD burner is the easiest solution – install it and use all programs, including copy-protected.

Notice instead of clicking and typing

Some manufacturers build netbooks berührungssempfindlichem screen (touch screen). The user can write on with a special stylus or your fingers. To create such drawings or notes.

You also control the MacBook Pro 13 battery mouse pointer a pen or finger: a pressure to the desired position on the screen triggers the command. The main advantage of a netbook with touch screen: The device is also standing to operate, it does not need a solid surface. The screen is rotated and folded to the back of the keyboard.

Replace the minis a PC notebook or PC?

The equipment of netbooks is already due to the compact size rather thin. Thus, they do not all tasks, the MacBook Pro battery notebooks and PCs can easily comply.

For several months HP is considering to market netbooks running Google Android. The ‘Google OS would be to replace the standard Windows devices utlraportatili. The main advantage is in lowering the cost of these devices: it works with Android ARM processors, a family of CPU that have lower performance than Intel’s Atom, but also lower prices and lower power consumption, this also means greater autonomy for the batteries.

However it will not be easy to convince consumers to abandon Microsoft systems, now that Windows is an established standard in the computing world. The biggest drawback is that with Android, most applications do not work. In addition, the operating system is not able to take full advantage of Intel processors, this means that you will ensure a range of low-cost netbooks, but this will be very limited in performance. That’s why HP engineers are evaluating the potential of this operating system, and spokesmen have not yet decided on this. However it is thought that the price of these netbooks should be below 200 €. To affect the price, even the absence of the cost of Microsoft licensing.

While there are some basic applications provided by Google that approach those of the Office, the real strength of Android is the fact that a version of Linux, and as such, to be open source: that of providing users the ability to access the code and make changes. This possibility makes easier the work of designers in adapting the OS is the architecture of the devices, which does not happen with Microsoft products. Given all these considerations, it is easy to think that the challenge for Microsoft will be increasingly tight, and the company’s monopoly on operating systems will be seriously questioned.

The advent of digital formats in the field of publishing (books, newspapers, magazines, comic books), is slowly becoming increasingly popular among the people, so that more people now prefer to take advantage of these text-based content directly from your monitor desktop, laptop or otherwise, without having to print each time …

To achieve this, however, we need a couple of prerequisites:

1 – “The tools of the trade should be as manageable as possible, an objective that we believe enough already achieved, thanks to new models increasingly thin and light notebooks.

2 – A large monitor and main structure in the vertical direction, so as to facilitate reading.

On the latter point, without having to provide special devices such as the recent Amazon (Kindle 2), we can use the software Rotate Eee PC, designed just to read the text on the road. ”

Also because this product with Kindle, both for the high price of their characteristics, are aimed mostly at an audience of “niche”.

This software is designed for Asus Eee PC, but can still be used for laptops and desktops (although in the latter case, it seems of little use ).

The program is also portable and does not require installation. Once started, it remains running in the background with a ‘visible icon in the system tray.

The use of the application is simple. It is in fact a combination of keys, summarized as follows:

* Ctrl + Alt + Up Arrow: Go back to home screen;

* Ctrl + Alt + Right Arrow: Rotate the screen by 270 degrees;

* Ctrl + Alt + Arrow Down: rotate the screen 180 degrees;

* Ctrl + Alt + Left Arrow: Rotate the screen 90 degrees.

Rotate Eee runs on systems running Windows XP SP3.

All batteries are doomed to fail, stop working, and cease to function, or the end of their useful life. This is the reality of a consumable product. But sometimes the batteries may warp, bubble, and even explode! The batteries can also fail because of incompatible designs or materials misnomer, and batteries can fail due to misuse or abuse to clients.

This cost includes more than 15,000 types of products that pose a fire, electrical, chemical, or mechanical hazard or products can hurt children (crèches, toys, etc..) Batteries by their nature are 1 the 15,000 products the CPSC monitors due to the increased implementation of chemistries
IBM Thinkpad x300 battery pack higher energy in smaller packages. Lithium-ion and polymer chemistry lithium metal are thinner, smaller, lighter and models that contain more energy than batteries. These types of battery are excellent choices for small electronic devices requiring larger capacities and specialized equipment to maintain battery to do anything but play as expected in the device.

It is true that sometimes the battery can warp, bubble, and even explode. It is also true that batteries can fail. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, there were 339 incidents of overheating battery related caterpillars. 339 cases of overheating like a lot, but compared to the same thinkpad x200 tablet battery more than 100 million devices that have been related purchased by consumers since 2003, it represents a very small percentage (, 000003) of all related devices battery on the market.

The reason for overheating battery the point of distortion, bubbles, or explosion is due to one of the following reasons:

1. Poorly selected material of the connector, fuse, charge and discharge FET, cell block, the sense resistor, primary and secondary protection ICs, the IC fuel gauge, thermistor, or the board pc.

2. Non-controlled manufacturing processes, including production facilities mismanaged that lead to cell short circuits, leaks, unreliable connections, sealing quality, low mechanical and contamination.

The battery can also fail due to misuse or abuse to clients. abuse of Sony VGP-BPS9A/B battery can occur in a variety of ways, however, all types of abuse fall battery in the following categories, including altitude simulation, thermal cycling, shock, external short circuits, impact, overcharge, forced discharge.

Finally battery can fail due to abuse of consumption. Embezzlement is different, so that abuse of the abuse of consumer Lenovo 3000 C200 battery is the deliberate disturbance of battery and misuse of battery is a misuse of a consumer involuntary battery. For example, misuse of a common battery tries to use a battery rated and designed for a specific PDA, camera, or iPod model, but battery is a device used for quite different. It may sound funny, but it happened. Why because consumers think that just because the physical footprint, the voltage and capacity are the same as the battery works on multiple devices. It is an error that occurs frequently. To avoid this type of diversion, use only a HP DV6000 battery which is specially designed for the camera model you have and do not share the battery.
