These profiles can then switch between even within a game.

mionix-naos-5000

As with many other gaming mice, you can determine how heavy Naos 5000 should be by yourself choose how many weights you want to have installed in it. This increases the precision based on your own taste. Additional precision you get with a laser sensor that has resolution of 5040 DPI. You can set three different DPI values, which you can then switch between the inside of the games.

Mionix Naos 5000 is therefore a computer mouse for the enthusiastic gamer. Tastes like it, so it costs. More than 720 crowns is the target price for. Options include in the form of Microsoft Sidewinder, which is similarly priced.

I have not yet tested the Naos 5000, but the Sidewinder has tried and should be tested before you buy one. I found that the Sidewinder was too edgy and great to be nice to use. But this is a matter of taste. The first test is a good idea.

Poll : The computer has become the new urban stereo

February 11th, 2011

lyssna-pa-musik-100x100

Company JAYS conducted a survey to find out how Swedes listen to music today. Statistics show that there is no longer applicable to your stereo – at least not for young people. The computer and the MP3 player is using.

The survey, which JAYS commissioned speaks for itself, in the way we nowlisten to music.  It is not only how we listen, but also where. To listen to music at home is now as common as doing it in other ways – especially when you are on your way by train, bus, etc.

One sees a clear trend in music listening. The computer is increasingly being stereo’s role among the Swedes. Among younger Swedes, 14-35 years, listens as much as 35 percent, mainly music from the PC followed by the MP3 player’s 23 percent and 17 percent stereo. This compared to all age categories where the stereo peaks in one-third of Swedes, followed by a fourth who prefer the computer and 13 percent who choose MP3: n.

Another interesting aspect is that as much as 90 percent of young people would ratherlisten to music through headphones instead of speakers. It’s something you might wish to one’s neighbors applied, when you wake up the Eurodisco 1 o’clock on a Thursday night … That there are so many people prefer to choose headphones also confirms that we are listening to music, mobile, that is, when we are not sitting at home.

It has also looked at the differences between the interest in music. Those who listen to hard rock, for example, inclined to listen to music on the computer or stereo, while those who listen to hip hop makes it either via PC or mobile phone.

Sony and SanDisk make the Memory Stick memory card of 2 GB

February 5th, 2011

memory-stick-100x100

The memory card Memory Stick , a new generation, where the technical limit is the2 TB instead of the current 32 GB.

With the increased use of memory cards for digital cameras and camcorders in particular, the need for more storage capacity increased. Today is the maximum of Sony’s Memory Stick 32 GB, which is insufficient for very long if you had planned to record a lot of videos.

Now, Sony and SanDisk teamed up to develop the next generation of Memory Stick memory cards. These next cards are called the Extended High Capacity and have the same design as the existing but a maximum storage capacity of the entire 2 TB – that is 2048 GB.

- Sony has long been a highly successful collaboration with SanDisk on the Memory Stick format. What we are presenting is about an expansive future for flash memory-based cards in general and the Memory Stick in particular, “said Frederick Fagerstedt at Sony in Sweden.

When the Memory Stick Extended High Capacity will be on the market are not clear.Sony announces only that work begins as early as this year. It should probably be noted that 2 TB is therefore the technical limit, which means we probably will not see any such great cards to begin with. I would bet on that the first cards rather is around 256 GB.

Sony Cyber-Shot G3 – send pictures directly to photo sites

January 21st, 2011

sony-cybershot-g3-100x100

Sony has launched a new digital camera, Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-G3 with built-in wireless networking and an internal browser that allows you to post your photos and videos directly to the various photo sites.

Cyber-Shot G3 comes with WiFi support, for you to connect to the Internet directly through the camera. You can then run the internal browser to send your captured images and video clips to sites like Shutterfly, Picasa Web Albums, YouTube, Dailymotion and Photobucket.  It may seem a bit strange that Flickr is not mentioned, however.

Digital Camera is a compact model that has a sensor of 10.1 megapixels and Carl Zeiss lens that offers 4x optical zoom. The LCD screen is 3.5 inches and must be very sharp, which is required if one is to use a browser in it.

Furthermore, there are plenty of features such as face recognition and the opportunity to take pictures automatically whenever the camera detects that the person in the picture is smiling. It can handle up to ISO 3200, to be able to take pictures even if the lighting is poor.

Cyber-Shot G3 has an internal memory of 4GB, and you can get even more by plugging in a Memory Stick Duo.

The price is equivalent to about 4000 crowns , and it seems to be present only in the United States. We’ll see if it shows up in Sweden. I hope so, because I personally would love to have a digital camera with Wi-Fi support for fast and easy transfer to your computer and Photoshop. There are no such models on the market, though no new ones.

January 18th, 2011

trillian-100x100

ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, IRC – there are a lot of different chat networks that usually all require different applications to be able to use them. With Trillian , you can reach all the network instead of a single program.

By far the most widely used chat program today is MSN Messenger. Messenger is a phenomenon that seems to slowly kill off the competing network. IRC, for example.IRC is a chat network made up of different chat channels where each channel has its own regulars and their own jargon. ICQ is a new network, founded by Israeli Mirabilis .During the early 2000s was the plus point of the computer geek connection to their ICQ numbers by heart – now seems to most, however, have abandoned ICQ completely and switched to MSN.

Anyway, these and more networking you can all access through a single program – Trillian. In addition to MSN, ICQ and IRC supports the program also for Swedish users rather unusual networks AIM and Yahoo Messenger . The program offers in addition to chat capabilities also file transfer functionality for all networks.

The program is available for both PC and Mac . There is both a free version and a pay version of the program. The most obvious difference between the free version and paid version, which costs $ 25, is support for video chat. Trillian adds itself as a small icon in the system tray on your computer and you get up automatically when someone writes to you or by clicking the icon. Fair use and is visually similar Trillian on both MSN Messenger and ICQ and is therefore easy to get used to if you want to switch off two programs against one.
